Robert L. Freedman was awarded the 2014 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical, and Outstanding New Broadway Musical (with Steven Lutvak and producer Joey Parnes) for A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at the 64th Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards held at Sardi’s on May 22, 2014.  The same night, awards were given to Jefferson Mays for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, and Darko Tresnjak for Outstanding Director of a Musical.  In total, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder received 11 Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, the most nominations of the season.
